God’s Promises are ALWAYS Yes and Amen!

Even though I already had a Seeds Of Faith post almost completed, it seems that God really wants to impress upon us the importance of believing, holding onto and standing on His promises as we rely on His faithfulness to bring them ALL to pass. Earlier this evening, after several references to not wavering in our faith and relying on God’s promises in various responses to posts today, members shared three daily devotionals on the FAM private website from three different ministries; which all deal with believing, holding on to and standing on the promises of God! So I feel led to share those instead, because it is so important for us to believe in the power of God’s promises as we stand for the restoration of our marriages and families and someone else may really need to hear that at this particular time.

The first devotional was by Dr. James MacDonald, and Hold On To –His promises can be read online; which I strongly encourage everyone standing for marriage restoration to read, because it’s very powerful and encouraging.

And here’s the second one:

Promises, Promises by Bayless Conley

“God has given us His promises because He wants to fulfill them. Be they promises of peace, restoration, healing, or for material supply, we must keep in mind that the Lord would not have made the promise if He did not want to do it.

Here are four thoughts to help you when it comes to experiencing the benefit of God’s promises:
1. Find a promise from the Bible that covers your need. Faith begins here.
2. Consider the promises. Hebrews 10:23 says, Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And Hebrews 11:11 says, By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
3. Act on the promise, fulfilling all necessary conditions. God is not a respecter of persons, but He is a respecter of conditions.
4. Start thanking God and exercising patience. Hebrews 10:36 says, For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. And Hebrews 6:12 says, That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

If you will do these four things, you are on your way to experiencing the fulfillment of God’s promises in your life.”

And then Eliminating Doubt, today’s devotional by Charles Stanley was posted as well.

What awesome supernatural power we would see manifested in our lives and marriages if only we could truly understand and grasp God’s ability and faithfulness to fulfill EVERY promise He has ever made! We have God’s assurance of that in 2 Corinthians 1:20, which states For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. So let’s always remember that and be blessed and encouraged as WE SPEAK the AMEN to every promise God has given us, which WILL BE FULFILLED IN THE NAME AND AUTHORITY OF JESUS CHRIST! AMEN!

As I continued editing and responding to additional posts on the private FAM site this morning, I found another important reference to God’s promises in a message Glenn Jackson wrote about standing in the gap and intercession, which someone else shared on the site yesterday. Glenn wrote “As one begins to place the Word [Wisdom] of God first in their lives they will begin to understand the wondrous provision God has made for their families in His covenant with them and, thus, they can begin to turn the tables on Satan and his schemes. Anything that causes fear to rise up within the child of God must be dealt with immediately. For if any fear is “allowed” to operate in one’s heart they will remain in a form of bondage to the Evil One, and they will be incapable of standing in the gap for those whom God has called them to intercede for. Love can never proceed forth from a heart that is filled with unbelief and fear. So let us diligently be found replacing the fear-filled lies of Satan that he attempts to influence us with and replace them with the faith-filled promises of God’s Word – for then it is certain that we will be a “living” intercession” to all those the Father brings across our path in this most glorious hour and many captives shall be set free.” Those are very powerful words and words we all need to take to heart as we stand in the gap for our spouses and for their deliverance from the hand of Satan and for the full and complete restoration of our marriages and families. You can read all of Glenn’s message, True Intercession online at his website, where you can also sign up to receive all of his messages by email each day. And you will be blessed and encouraged!
