Praise And Glory To The Lord

I woke up this morning filled with inexplicable joy and full of praise for the Lord’s glory! What an awesome way to start the day! It reminded me of our need to spend more time praising and reflecting on the power and glory of Jesus, so I did a search for praise and glory in the Bible, and here’s what the Lord showed me.

We can All probably remember making promises and vows to the Lord when we needed His help and provision in a desperate situation, but did we remember those promises and vows once the Lord delivered us? Or did we forget, and fail to share it with others and give Him appropriate praise and honor? He deserves and EXPECTS nothing less than our total adoration and praise for his power and glory, so don’t forget to praise Him as we see in Psalm 66 and Psalm 72.

Our failure to give the Lord appropriate praise and honor could actually prevent or delay the restoration of our marriages, as seen in these verses from 1 Peter 1:
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
7 These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

As with so many other Bible verses we’ve often referred to, these verses demonstrate how important genuine faith is to the Lord and how necessary it is for the realization of everything we’re standing for. When the Lord brings us through the trials we deal with as we stand for the restoration of our marriages, He doesn’t want us to forget and He expects us to share it with others, which is the reason for using a website like this in our ministry. Remembering and sharing all that the Lord does for us helps strengthen our faith, and encourages others, and accesses the authority of Christ and overcomes the power of Satan as we see in these verses from Revelation 12:
9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”.

From the very beginning, God planned EVERYTHING for the ultimate praise and glory of Jesus Christ, as we see again in these verses from Ephesians 1:
9 And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,
10 to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,
12 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.

That is the purpose for our existence and the purpose for everything we go through, so it’s VERY important for us to understand that and release the supernatural power found only in praising and giving glory to Jesus, our Lord and Savior!

As we can expect with every promise from God, these verses from Revelation 5 show us how His awesome plan to reveal the glory of Jesus Christ will be fulfilled:
11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.
12 In a loud voice they sang: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
